Columbia
Private Piano Lessons
A homeschool graduate who is now a professional piano teacher. I've recently moved to Columbia from Portland, Oregon, leaving behind a private music studio of thirty plus students, most of whom where homeschoolers. Teaching is my passion and I love working with children of all ages. I also have some experience with special needs children and would welcome the opportunity for further growth in that area. I am a classically trained pianist, so my students receive a solid musical foundation (good technique, sight-reading skills, understanding of musical theory). However, I also believe that children should love playing music and I try to engage their imagination and creativity. I am accepting students now on through September. Lessons will take place in my home in the Rosewood/USC neighborhood of Columbia. Tuition is a very competitive $15 per half hour lesson. However, I also am offering a special discount to homeschool families in need of tuition assistance. Please email me with any questions. elizabeth.pelster@hotmail.com
