Indiana State Homeschool Organizations

Homeschool HUB
The Homeschool HUB organizes programs and field trips, and a provides a communication network among homeschool families in the Michiana area. We are an inclusive group. Our goal is to provide opportunities for all homeschoolers to share educational resources and knowledge, and to enjoy the company of other homeschooling families in enriching group activities.


Indiana Association of Home Educators
The IAHE is a non-profit organization founded in 1983 for the purpose of serving the Lord Jesus Christ through supporting and encouraging families interested in home education. Our primary functions are maintaining visibility as home educators with civil government leaders, influencing the legislative process, and sponsoring seminars for parent education. We also publish a free bimonthly magazine, The IAHE Informer.

LIFE Learning Center is a homeschool cooperative that has weekly classes, special events, special interest clubs and yearly events such as graduation, spelling bee, parties, talent show, geography fair, and other member led activities.

Faith Home Educators
As a group Faith Home Educators is dedicated to supporting homeschool families. We meet every Wednesday with 3 hours of classes for children K - 12. Classes include PE and Art. We plan monthly field trips, and moms meet once a month for encouragement and planning.


Indianapolis
Midtown Montessori Preschool Cooperative
Midtown Montessori Preschool Cooperative provides individualized Montessori instruction in a small group setting. We also offer support for parents seeking to incorporate the Montessori philosophy into their homeschooling curriculum.


New Albany
Heart'N'Home School
A homeschool support group and teaching co-op. We number about 150 families (about 400 school age children), and are in our eight year as a group. We have been able to do many things as a group, including some regularly meeting co-ops teaching various topics, a cross country running team, Hebrew & Spanish language classes, partnerships for tutoring, as well as science fairs, drama camp, art classes/fairs, Keepers & Contenders for the Faith groups, field trips, etc. These are things we provide for the children. We also provide support for mothers through monthly meetings where we hire professionals to teach us on various topics of education or we share our curriculum on a given topic in smaller discussion groups. We provide a monthly newsletter & "one-list" to the group as well.

Bloomington Playwrights Project 2010 Education Camps
June 28, 2010 - August 8, 2010
DramatiCATS Camp dates: June 28- July 9, 2010 Performances: July 9 - 10, 2010 The BPP is calling all cool cats to be a part of the coolest camp for kids ages 8 - 12. Campers will write and perform in plays developed during the full day camp. But there's a catch - every play must incorporate the same theme, a common line of dialogue and a common prop...but no one will know what the theme, line, and prop are until the moment they are to write. Camper's imaginations are challenged constantly while they create one of a kind new theatre. Youth Musical Theatre Camp dates: July 12- August 5, 2010 Performances: August 5 - 8, 2010 Stage Director: Pam Magnan, Musical Director: Eric Anderson Participants in YMT experience the whole process of a real summer stock production from audition to the final bow. Students learn physical and vocal exercises, choral singing, choreography, and scene blocking. The staff of YMT is committed to developing each participant's musical theatre skills and concepts. Emphasis is on each person's intellectual, social, physical, creative and artistic growth. Past productions include shows in the popular Broadway Jr. series: Fiddler on the Roof, Once on This Island, Bugsy Malone, Into the Woods, Disney's Aladdin, Seussical, Willy Wonka, and Guys and Dolls. YMT has even performed Peter Pan. Cast members receive a speaking, singing and dance part and every cast member contributes to the success of the production. This full day camp fills up quickly so be sure to sign up once registration opens October 1, 2009.

Mr.C teaches beginning music students on many different instruments. Lessons are available for private and group and at home or at studio. Mr.C is a licensed and experienced K-12 instrumental and general music teacher in Bloomington, Indiana. His current students include public school and home school students from 1st grade through high school.

Kindermusik of Fort Wayne
Kindermusik offers classes for ages 0 through 7 years old. The oldest classes learn all of the music notes in the treble clef while playing with other kids and on many different instruments. They learn to site sing, play a wind instrument, string instrument and keyed instrument. All of this while having fun and not being forced to "practice" thirty minutes a day. The younger children just have fun with instruments, movement and their parents. It would be a wonderful class to take while homeschooling.

The Line Upon Line Art Studio
Registering art students from ages 9-18 for the upcoming session beginning January 10. Drawing classes for kids 9-18 eager to expand their drawing and art skills and 'Art 101' classes designed especially for homeschoolers. 8 90-minute classes per session.


Indianapolis
Dance Rhythms LTD
Dance Rhythms LTD is offering a new program for homeschooled children starting the week of August 17th and continuing through June 2010. These classes offered on Tuesday afternoons will be for two age groups, ages 5-10 in one class, and 10 and up in another class. These classes will teach a variety of dance styles, aerobic activities, games and more. Times will be determined by your scheduling needs. We are having a registration open house July 11-12 from 1-4 each day at our Brookville Rd location if you wish to sign up or ask questions in person.

Christian Youth Theater - Indianapolis
Christian Youth Theater (CYT) is an after-school theater arts training program for students ages 4 - 18. CYT is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization funded primarily through its tuition, ticket sales and outside contributions. Every session (fall, winter and spring) CYT offers theater arts classes for children as an after-school activity. Each local program conducts three ten-week sessions throughout the school year, teaching drama, voice, dance and a broad spectrum of specialty theatrical workshops at weekly two-hour classes. Enrolled students have the opportunity to work behind the scenes, or audition and perform on stage in a Broadway-style musical performed for the community.

Piano Lessons
For the past 10 years, I have been providing piano lessons to homeschoolers in the Hamilton and Marion county area. I teach beginning and intermediate students from age 4-adult. I teach in a home studio near 116th and Keystone. Students learn on a Kawai Grand Piano in a very fun-filled environment. Piano and keyboard lessons are personalized to each student\'s needs. Lessons include learning to read music, music theory, technique and optional composition. My curriculum includes classical, Broadway, Christian Contemporary, pop, jazz, and Disney. Composers are also studied during the lessons. students learn in a very patient, relaxed atmosphere as they progress at their own pace. The ultimate goal is to have each student develop a love and appreciation for music for the rest of their life. Students have optional recitals and competitions available to them.

Harp and Piano Lessons
Individualized instruction in piano and harp for students ages four and up. Rental harps are available. There are opportunities for performances, exams, and contests.


Whiting, Hammond, Highland, Munster, Schererville and Crown Point
Original Music Lessons
We send professional, background checked, well trained music teachers to homes in the northwest Indiana area. We offer lessons in piano, guitar, bass guitar, drums, singing, flute, and music composition.
