Homeschooling is regulated at the state level and changes may be made to the relevant statutes at any time. Georgia Homeschool Laws


Code Section 20-2-690.1 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated
Any person who is a parent or guardian or has control or charge of any child subject to compulsory attendance and who becomes a resident of this state shall, within 60 days of having become a resident, enroll said child in a public or private school or place the child in an approved home study program.


Amendment to Title 20 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated
To amend Title 20 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to education, so as to raise the age of mandatory education from 16 to 17; to revise provisions relating to adult literacy for purposes of conformity; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A Christian Camp for Homeschooling Families. Our Family Science Camp is the perfect get-a-way for the whole family. It's great family time combining hands-on life and physical sciences with good-ole, old-fashioned camp activities; lake swimming (and wading), canoeing, "the blob" (lake trampoline), archery, fishing, camp fires, climbing wall, hiking, gym, ball fields, arts and crafts, etc. The camp fee covers everything; science time, science lab materials, supplemental materials, all camp activities, arts and crafts, lodging, and meals. Everything is covered - there are no additional fees. At least one parent must attend camp with children.

Christian Youth Theater - Atlanta
Christian Youth Theater (CYT) is an after-school theater arts training program for students ages 4 - 18. CYT is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization funded primarily through its tuition, ticket sales and outside contributions. Every session (fall, winter and spring) CYT offers theater arts classes for children as an after-school activity. Each local program conducts three ten-week sessions throughout the school year, teaching drama, voice, dance and a broad spectrum of specialty theatrical workshops at weekly two-hour classes. Enrolled students have the opportunity to work behind the scenes, or audition and perform on stage in a Broadway-style musical performed for the community.

The Crossroad Homeschool Band provides band and orchestral instruction on three levels (beginner, intermediate & advanced). We begin with students who don't know how to read music or handle their instrument and help them progress to playing and reading more complex and difficult music. Several music types are explored: Classical, Swing, Modern, Traditional, Hymns, Praise, Marches, Sacred, and much more, depending on the age, skill level and class. The Crossroad Homeschool Band offers opportunities for students to perform, as well as leadership opportunities for older students who assist the directors and teachers. Unlike public school bands which practice together daily, our students are highly motivated and spend a great deal of time at home practicing, as well as performing for various family, community and homeschool functions. Some of our students have earned collegiate level music scholarships as a result of their unending hard work at Crossroad Music. In addition to the band and orchestra programs, The Crossroad Homeschool Band also provides recorder, guitar, music theory, woodwind ensemble, worship band, The “Music studio experience” and a preschool music program called “Crossroad Music Makers”.

Mother's Helper Needed! We are an easygoing Christian family with 3 kids ages 3 years, 1.5 years and 12 weeks. We are looking for a mother's helper (I will be home at all times) to help us out every Wed and Fri from 1pm-4pm. I'd love someone age 11 or older. Duties will include reading to and playing with my 3 year old (he is mildly autistic) while the other two nap plus a few light chores. We will be paying $6 an hour. I can pick up and drop off if you live very close. We are on w wylie bridge rd right off of 92. Mom and dad are more than welcome to meet us! :) Email me with interest. Thanks!
