Colorado Homeschool Legal Requirements


Homeschooling is regulated at the state level and changes may be made to the relevant statutes at any time. Homeschool Legal Advantage (HLA)

Stapleton Learning Center is Offering Daytime Art Classes
Stapleton Learning Center is now offering daytime art classes for students grades pre-K-8. Students learn to draw and paint in a safe, structured, and positive environment. Students use pencil, colored pencil, pastel, scratch board, and paint on canvas. An art history component is offered, though not required, using the Core Knowledge sequence.

Christian Youth Theater - Denver
Christian Youth Theater (CYT) is an after-school theater arts training program for students ages 4 - 18. CYT is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization funded primarily through its tuition, ticket sales and outside contributions. Every session (fall, winter and spring) CYT offers theater arts classes for children as an after-school activity. Each local program conducts three ten-week sessions throughout the school year, teaching drama, voice, dance and a broad spectrum of specialty theatrical workshops at weekly two-hour classes. Enrolled students have the opportunity to work behind the scenes, or audition and perform on stage in a Broadway-style musical performed for the community.

Audience of One Youth Theater
Workshops- Musical Theater Productions -Summer Camps - Tour Groups to Churches or Schools - Teen Leadership Training Audience of One (Ao1) is a 501©(3) support organization that offers after-school and summer camp acting, singing, dance, media, and theatrical training for children ages 5 – 18 in our local community. Ao1 instills confidence and promotes self-esteem in students through the performing arts, while fostering values such as honesty, integrity, teamwork, discipline, cooperation, and outreach. Ao1 offers a broad curriculum of performing arts classes that provide students with a solid foundation of theatrical training. Our children have the opportunity to participate in a full-scale, professionally directed musical production that offers them the ability to gain first-hand performing experience. Ao1 productions provide our local communities the opportunity to experience a quality "night at the theater" at an affordable price. In addition, Ao1 students perform a service to local outreach programs each session. Targeting local and international organizations in need, the children and families in the Ao1 program use the gifts God has bestowed upon them to give back to the community through workdays and financial contributions from show revenues. This valuable training will equip the children to be future leaders, evident by their acts of compassion and service.

Sports Skills Camp
The Afternoon Sports Skills Camp is for children ages 8 - 18 and is a continuous two day a week program designed to enhance and introduce athletics to aspiring athletes. The camp is run every Saturday (12:30 pm) afternoon. The camp usually lasts about two hours. Times for the camp are based on seasonal needs and change. We are meeting at Ford Frick Park!
